The final design for the planned Snye Point Outdoor Event Space has been chosen.

The RMWB held multiple engagement sessions and a public survey earlier this year where residents could choose between two preliminary designs and give some feedback.

The final design includes pedestrian trails, cycle tracks, discovery walk, welcome circle, volleyball court, discovery walk, and more.

It will be an all-year space in an attempt at drawing in more events for the downtown area.

Among the public feedback, the municipality says they received a lot of support for vehicle access and water connectivity between the park space and the Snye.

Construction is set to start in the spring of 2022.
