Older women in Janvier are getting a chance to get a test to see if they have cancer.
A mobile mammography trailer will be visiting the rural community next month.
It will also be traveling to the Fort McMurray #468 First Nation and Fort McKay First Nation.
A mammogram is an x-ray of the breast and has been proven to be the most effective way to detect breast cancer.
The trailer will be stationed at the Father R. Perin Community School on September 16.
Women between the ages of 50 and 74 can book an appointment by calling 1-800-667-0604.
Details about COVID-19 measures at the trailer will be shared during the call.
