The COVID-19 vaccine clinic at MacDonald Island Park will be shutting down in the coming days.

Alberta Health Services is officially closing down the site on August 11 as a good chunk of the population has already been vaccinated.

As of Thursday, over 38,000 individuals across the region have received both doses.

Vaccines will remain available seven days a week at different health centres, pharmacies and physician offices.

Appointments can be booked by either using the AHS online booking tool, by calling 811 or contacting local pharmacies and physician offices directly.

Individuals can still get their first or second dose at MacDonald Island Park until 8 p.m. on August 11.
