The RMWB is being put on display with a new pop up photography tour.
Public Art Wood Buffalo and Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo Economic Development and Tourism have joined forces to showcase the everyday life of people in the area.
Local artists Crystal Mercredi and Lucas Seaward are touring from Fort McKay to Conklin this month (August) to capture the unique landscapes, people and cultures in the region.
“I am passionate about every corner of this region and cannot wait to connect with the beautiful communities, people and families that live here,” said Mercredi.
Members of every community they visit will be able to sign up for a one day mentorship to learn from the pros.
The content captured on the pop up photography tour will be used for the Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo place brand.
Images taken from the pop up tour will be used to create a dynamic mural at Kiyām Community Park.
To register, you can visit the RMWB’s website.
