RCMP Arrest Three Fort McMurray Residents After Seizing Suspected Fentanyl

Three Fort McMurray residents are being arrested for allegedly trafficking fentanyl.

Wood Buffalo RCMP executed a search warrant on a vehicle on June 23 as part of a drug investigation.

They ended up finding over 15 grams of suspected fentanyl, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and an unspecified amount of cash.

As a result, they ended up arresting 27-year Amelia Fernand Stephens, 33-year-old Krystal Savanna Audley, and 39-year-old Heather Leah Hempler.

Stephens and Hempler have each been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, while Audley faces multiple trafficking charges and failing to comply with a release order condition.

Audley remains in police custody, while the other two have been released.

They’re also slated to make their next court appearance on July 13 in a Fort McMurray courtroom.
