RMWB Looking For Feedback On Revamping Community’s Waterfront

You’re getting the chance to help revamp the community’s waterfront.

The RMWB is launching a survey and planning to hold virtual open houses where residents can share their feedback on how to improve the area.

The plan is to update the entire 6 km of waterfront from the Athabasca Bridge to Horse Pasture Park in Waterways.

This includes creating outdoor event spaces, connecting the waterfront through trails and pathways, honoring the rich Indigenous and non-Indigenous history, and more.

This engagement is different from this past March when the RMWB was looking for feedback on the Snye Point Outdoor Event Space.

An online survey is currently available and residents can also call the Pulse Line at 780-743-7000 or toll-free 1-800-973-9663 to share their thoughts.

Residents can take advantage of these options until June 30.

Two virtual open houses will also be held – the first on June 17 and the second on June 24.

You can pre-register, however, it’s not mandatory to take part.
