Two COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics Set Up At Suncor’s Base Plant

Suncor Energy employees at Base Plant can get their first COVID-19 vaccine this week.

The oil company has partnered with Alberta Health Services to set up two clinics on-site, one at the Main Admin atrium and the other at Steepbank Mine Complex.

They will be offering the Moderna Vaccine.

People with access to Base Plant can get the shot.

This includes workers from outside the province and those who aren’t directly employed by Suncor.

The Base Plant is currently experiencing one of the worst COVID-19 outbreaks in the RMWB.

Only Canadian Natural Resources Limited’s Horizon site and Syncrude’s Mildred Lake site have experienced more cases.

The clinics will be running Monday to Thursday.

Interested employees can set up an appointment through Suncor’s website.
