Walk-Ins Still Being Accepted For AstraZeneca At MacDonald Island Vaccine Clinic

Those who are 30 and older can get their first COVID-19 vaccine.

The MacDonald Island Park clinic is accepting walk-ins Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the AstraZeneca.

The clinic will only stop accepting walk-ins if they run out of the vaccine.

The province lowered eligibility for the AstraZeneca and Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) vaccines in the region due to the high number of active cases.

All other areas remain under the 40 years and older threshold.

The region is expected to get its shipment of the Janssen vaccine in the near future.

Meanwhile, those wanting the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines still need an appointment.
