Applications For Third-Wave Of Enterprise Relaunch Grant Open Friday

Certain small and medium-sized businesses can get another financial boost.

The provincial government’s Enterprise Relaunch Grant is now open for applications from businesses who were affected by April’s public health orders.

“We have to be there to help small businesses in Alberta get to the other side of this pandemic,” said Doug Schweitzer, Minister of Jobs, Economy, and Innovation.

“With the expansion of the relaunch grant, we are helping small businesses make it through the third wave of COVID-19. We know the past year has not been easy and are grateful for what all small businesses in Alberta have done to help protect the lives of Albertans in their communities.”

Businesses and non-profit organizations that employ less than 500 people, including those that opened between March 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021, taxi’s, ride-share programs, and hotel are eligible for the funding.

The businesses must have experienced a revenue loss of at least 30 per cent.

Up to $10,000 is available which can be used to purchase personal protective equipment, cover payroll for staff, strengthen online presence, and more.

Applications will close on May 31, 2021.

This is the third time since March 2020 the G0A has provided help through the Small and Medium Enterprise Relaunch Grant, aiding more than 40,000 businesses.
