Wood Buffalo RCMP are charging two individuals after they were involved in an altercation downtown.
On April 9, around 7:45 p.m., the Mounties received a 911 call about a potential stabbing near Franklin Avenue and Alberta Drive.
There they found a 20-year-old man who was suffering from a minor injury which was treated on scene by emergency medical services.
Despite being injured, the man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and causing a disturbance.
His name has not been released at this time as his charges have not been sworn in court.
The RCMP also put out an arrest warrant for 30-year-old Robin Lee Conrad Grandjambe who was located five days later.
They ended up charging him with possession of a weapon contrary to an order, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, assault causing bodily harm, and causing a disturbance.
Grandjambe and the unnamed man have both been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in a Fort McMurray courtroom on May 12 and May 26 respectively.
