Another school is moving multiple grades back to virtual learning for the rest of the month.

The Fort McMurray Catholic School District announced on Monday students in grades 4 to 6 at St. Gabriel will transition to online classes from April 20 to April 30.

This comes as multiple COVID-19 cases force several staff members to self-isolate.

Families whose children are in the Junior Transition Program team will be contacted directly for more information about programming.

In-school classes will continue as normal for those in the early entry program and from grade to grade 3.

Currently, the FMCSD and Public School Division have also moved all students in grades 7 to 12 to virtual learning due to a high number of staff and students in isolation.

At this time, all students are set to return to school on May 3, the first weekday after April 30.
