RMWB Creating Temporary Secondary Route For Draper Residents In Case of Flooding From River Breakup

A temporary road is being installed to give Draper an alternate route during river breakup.

It will connect Draper Road with Saline Creek Drive and is expected to be ready by April 1.

The road will be across from Horse Pasture Park, using the old Draper Road alignment.

The connector will be raised 1.1 metres from its current elevation and will only be open while the risk of overland flooding is present.

An increase in construction traffic in Draper is expected with the RMWB reminding drivers the connector should only be used if Draper Road is inaccessible.

More information about river breakup can be found on the RMWB’s website.
