RMWB Holding Virtual Townhall To Discuss River Breakup

You’re getting a chance to ask your questions around river breakup directly to the RMWB.

The municipality is hosting a virtual townhall on Thursday where they plan to discuss all the measures being taken to protect the six flood-prone areas.

Mayor Don Scott will be joined by Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Matthew Hough, Director of Emergency Management Scott Davis, and other municipal representatives.

Residents can take part over the phone or online.

The townhall will be live-streamed on the RMWB’s website with the public able to ask questions through a chatbox.

An automated call will also be sent out to members of the public connecting them to the event. Questions can be asked by pressing *3, which will connect them to a moderator who will take the question and put it in the queue.

Those who can’t access the stream or don’t receive a call are encouraged to call 1-800-214-2540 or email [email protected] to receive help connecting.

The townhall gets underway at 6 p.m.
