RMWB Looking For Public Feedback on Snye Point Outdoor Event Space

You’re getting a chance to share your thoughts on the design of the Snye Point outdoor event space.

The municipality is planning to create an all-year space in an attempt at drawing in more events for the downtown area.

The RMWB is aiming to focus the project on the region’s history, while also including washroom facilities and power structures.

“That’s the heart of downtown, if we can get this right then we won’t have to worry about traffic downtown in the middle of Frankin Avenue but the riverfront, to enjoy nature and mother earth,” said Councillor Keith McGrath after Wood Buffalo council approved the project.

To get public feedback, the municipality has launched an online survey where individuals can share their thoughts and opinions until March 28.

They’re also holding two virtual open houses on March 22 and March 25, both starting at 6 p.m.

Registration is needed to take part in either sessions.
