AJHL Resuming Season on March 12, MOB Set To Play Six Straight Against Spruce Grove

The Fort McMurray Oil Barons will be back in action later this month.

The Alberta Junior Hockey League announced the schedule for 52 games happening from March 12 to April 4.

Thirteen teams are being split into five cohorts for this three-week stretch with the MOB and Spruce Grove Saints finding themselves in the same group.

The two teams are set to play each other six times, three games at home and three on the road.

They’re currently the top two teams in the north division as the Oil Barons posted a 4-0-0 record to start the season before it was suspended, while the Saints went 3-1-0.

The AJHl plans on switching the cohorts again in April with more of the schedule being announced at a later date.

Meanwhile, the league has tested all players and staff on each of the 13 teams with no positive COVID-19 cases being found at this time.
