Mask Bylaw Suspended, Province Wide Mask Requirement Still in Effect

The local mask bylaw is being relaxed, however, masks are still mandatory in all indoor public spaces.

The Municipal mask bylaw was suspended yesterday when the region was under 50 cases at the scheduled 30 day review.

However, the provincial health order is still in effect meaning residents will still need to wear a mask if they go in any indoor public space.

There’s currently no timeline on when the provincial order will be lifted, while the regional bylaw will go back into effect if the region hits 50 active cases again.
