Two Men Charged After Drugs And Prohibited Firearms Seized

Wood Buffalo RCMP are arresting two men after a drug bust in Fort McMurray.

The Mounties arrested 23-year-old Nathaniel Dylan Rodaz Adam and 29-year-old Jeremy Maxi Chad Lacorde, of Fort Chipewyan, on February 2 after investigating the two for several days.

The police ended up seizing 50 grams of suspected cocaine, suspected methamphetamine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, two loaded prohibited firearms, ammunition, and under $1000 in cash.

Adam has since been charged with four counts of trafficking cocaine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, four counts of possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public, two counts of possession of a firearm without holding a licence, two counts of possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, two counts of transporting a firearm in a careless manner, possession of a firearm knowing that the serial number has been altered, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Lacorde is being charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, six counts of possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public, two counts of possession of a firearm without holding a licence, two counts of transporting a firearm in a careless manner, possession of a firearm knowing that the serial number has been altered, two counts of possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, and six counts of failing to comply with conditions of release.

Both remain in police custody and are scheduled to make their next court appearance on February 23 in Fort McMurray.
