Extreme Cold Warning Issued For Fort McMurray, Frigid Temperatures Expected To Last Multiple Days

You’re gonna want to stay inside as much as possible for the next few days.

Environment Canada is issuing an extreme cold warning for Fort McMurray and surrounding areas.

The wind chill is expected to make the temperature feel as cold as minus 40 to 45 starting Thursday night and continuing into next week.

The weather agency is recommending residents stay inside if possible and to cover up if they have to go outside.

They note staying out for long periods can cause shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness, and colour change in fingers and toes.
