The load limit on the La Loche winter trail is increasing.

Vehicles up to 27,500 kg are now permitted on the trail.

The limit is not expected to be increased further this year, and any vehicles over 27,500 kg are not allowed as they could damage the ice crossings and make it unsafe for others.

Travelers are reminded to plan for their trip and let someone know their expected arrival time before they leave.
