Mental Health Top Of Mind on Bell Let’s Talk Day

You’re being asked to help end the stigma around mental health.

Bell Let’s Talk Day takes place on Thursday with the organization donating five cents every time some use #BellLetsTalk when texting or on social media.

All the funds raised will go to organizations aimed at helping those struggling with their mental health.

According to a survey by Nielsen Consumer Insights, around 83 per cent of Canadians now say they are comfortable speaking with others about mental health which is nearly double from 2012.

This year is extra important as data from the Canadian Mental Health Association shows around 38 per cent of Canadians have been struggling since the start of the pandemic.

Locally, CMHA Wood Buffalo has also created videos aimed at helping educate students and parents on different topics.

This includes stress, anxiety, grounding techniques, and regulating emotions.
