Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating after a man was fatally stabbed in Fort McMurray.

Around 3 p.m. on January 6, the Mounties were called downtown after getting reports of an alleged stabbing.

A man was found injured and was transported to the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre.

A few hours later, he succumbed to his injuries.

The police are continuing to search for any potential suspects.

They believe this was an isolated incident and there’s no danger to the public.
