Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating a reported shooting in downtown Fort McMurray.

Around 7:30 p.m. on January 2, the Mounties were called to a residence on Charles Avenue after a complaint of possible gunshots.

Two people were found suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Both were transported to the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre.

The Wood Buffalo General Investigation Section and RCMP Forensic Identification Services are continuing to investigate the incident.
