Three Fort McMurray Residents Arrested After Downtown Drug Seizure

Three Fort McMurray residents are being charged with drug trafficking.

On December 10, Wood Buffalo RCMP executed a search warrant on a property on Father Mercredi Street.

During the search, they found over 200 grams of suspected cocaine, drug trafficking-related paraphernalia, and over $3000 in Canadian currency.

As a result, 29-year-old Ronald Valdez, 31-year-old Lionel Valdez, and 22-year-old Jessica Somer Wagner were arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and proceeds of crime under $5,000.

All three have been released from police custody and are scheduled to appear in a Fort McMurray courtroom on January 12, 2021.
