You’re being asked to share your thoughts on two parks in the community.
An online survey has been launched to get public opinion on the Memorial Park which is being built in Beacon Hill.
The RMWB is looking to hear from residents on what the park should feature as it aims to tell the story of the Horse River wildfire.
“In addition to acknowledging and paying respect to these experiences, the park will create opportunities for residents to reflect, honour first responders, and remember those who passed away following the evacuation.”
The survey closes on December 13.
Meanwhile, the municipality has set up an online poll where residents can vote on two preliminary concept designs for the Franklin and Main Park.
It was proposed by the Wood Buffalo Downtown Revitalization Advisory Committee and approved by Wood Buffalo council back in March.
The park would be located on the ‘arena land’ which is currently being used as a parking lot.
The poll, like the survey, will be up until December 13.
