igNIGHT Drive-thru Experience Begins Friday

The Public Art Exhibition, igNIGHT will be looking a bit different this year.

The temporary public art exhibition centered around light opens on Friday and will be on display until December 13.

The illuminated art will be on display in the parking lot on Main Street and Franklin Avenue and will be available for viewing from the comfort of your car only.

Usually, guests are able to take a bus and walk throughout the illuminated pieces throughout downtown, but this year due to COVID-19 there will be no bus tours and all of the art is located in one place.

The theme is the solstice, and three different works will be available for viewing by Amy Keller-Remp, Kritsana Naowakhun and duo Ruth Perry and Sonia Burke-Smith.

Guests are asked to bring their phones as an online guide will be available to provide a deeper understanding of the artists and their interpretation of this year’s theme.
