A Wood Buffalo councillor is being charged with voyeurism.
Jeff Peddle was arrested on November 12 after RCMP received a complaint he allegedly distributed intimate images without consent.
The Mounties note they made aware on June 22 and finished their investigation in August.
The Office of the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service Special Prosecutions reviewed the investigation and recommended Peddle be charged.
He’s since been charged with one count of voyeurism and one count of distributing intimate images without consent.
According to the Fort McMurray Today, Peddle’s lawyer says he plans on fighting these charges.
Peddle has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in a Fort McMurray courtroom on December 16, 2020.
