Council Meetings Once Again Being Held Virtually

Wood Buffalo council’s meeting will once again be held virtually for the foreseeable future.

The municipality announced the change on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s scheduled meeting as the province has limited gatherings for communities on the provincial COVID-19 watch list.

Moving forward, social and family gatherings can include a maximum of 15 people.

Council had been meeting virtually since the pandemic started in mid-March, but decided to allow some residents to view in-person in October.

Meanwhile, those planning on speaking at Tuesday’s meeting must register by calling 780-743-7001 or emailing [email protected].

It can be viewed by the public through the RMWB’s website.
