Fort McMurray Adds Seven New COVID-19 Cases, Five Additional Recoveries Across RMWB

Fort McMurray is seeing seven new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

The province announced yesterday 515 new cases across Alberta.

This raises the provincial total to 30,447 with 6,230 cases currently active.

The active total in Fort McMurray is now at 58 as four more individuals have also recovered.

The rural areas saw one new case, one recovery, and one case taken off the provincial map with the total of active cases now at five.

In total, 398 individuals across the RMWB – 331 in Fort McMurray and 67 in the rural areas – have recovered.

They are among the 23,874 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 78 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, there were also five new deaths from COVID-19 in Alberta over the past day – raising the total to 343.

One of the deaths throughout the pandemic was in Fort McMurray.
