Four Fort McMurray residents are being charged with drug trafficking.
On October 29, the Wood Buffalo Drug Section executed a search warrant at a residence on Grosbeak Way in Eagle Ridge.
During their search, they found around 150 grams of suspected cocaine, over $3,000 in Canadian currency, and other drug trafficking-related paraphernalia.
As a result, four men were arrested – 40-year-old Norman Kenneth Lineham, 39-year-old Richard Harvey Barrow, 29-year-old Demetre Leelyn Lewis Desjarlais, and 19-year-old Jeremy Joseph Cardinal.
Lineham was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking cocaine, possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling it, and proceeds of crime under $5,000.
Barrow was handed two charges – possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling it.
Desjarlais is facing three charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking cocaine, and proceeds of crime under $5,000, while Cardinal was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and trafficking cocaine
All four have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in a Fort McMurray courtroom on November 24.
