Keyano Creates Safe Spaces For Indigenous, International, and LGBTQ2S+ Communities

Keyano is creating safe spaces to help support ‘marginalized voices.’

The post-secondary school announced on Thursday three different caucuses are now available for individuals who are Indigenous, weren’t born in Canada, or a part of the LGBTQ2S+ community.

They note these spaces will raise awareness around key societal issues, help find solutions, and aid in improving the overall lives of these voices.

“We are very excited to be providing the college community new avenues to share experiences and provide peer support,” said Frederick Russell, VP, Academics.

“This is one of many initiatives that Keyano College has pursued to ensure that inclusivity is a big part of the Keyano experience.”

The caucuses are available for staff, students, and members of the community.
