The winter semester at Keyano College will continue to be a mix of online and in-person studies.
The post-secondary school announced on Monday they’re continuing this blend of learning as the COVID-19 virus continues to pop up across Wood Buffalo.
In the fall semester, students have been able to learn in-person through labs and shops when all the guidelines put in place by Alberta Health Services were met.
“The College plans to continue offering clinical experience in alignment with the direction from Public Health, Alberta Health Services, and other responsible agencies,” Keyano said in a statement.
Keyano says they’re also prepared to provide a full online curriculum if more COVID-19 restrictions are put in place.
They’re hoping they will be able to offer in-class instruction at some time during the upcoming school year.
“Our priority remains keeping students and staff healthy and safe,” added Keyano.
“While this remains a changing situation with many unknowns, we want to assure our community that we commit to provide an exceptional experience for students, one that will prepare them for a career or for further education.”
More information, including programs being offered during the winter semester, can be found on Keyano’s website.
