Fort McMurray Sees 12 New COVID-19 Cases, Two Additional Recoveries Over Weekend

Twelve new cases of COVID-19 are being discovered in Fort McMurray over the past three days.

The province announced on Monday 898 new cases across Alberta. This raises the provincial total to 22,673 with 3,138 cases currently active.

Fort McMurray also saw two additional recoveries which puts the active total at 29.

The rural areas didn’t see any new changes keeping the active total at three.

In total, 351 individuals across the RMWB – 287 in Fort McMurray and 64 in the rural areas – have recovered.

They are among the 19,243 across the province. This represents under 85 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, there were four new deaths from COVID-19 in Alberta over the past 72 hours – keeping the total at 292.

One of the deaths throughout the pandemic was in Fort McMurray.
