RCMP Investigating Reports Of Shots Fired in Downtown

Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating possible shots fired in downtown Fort McMurray.

On October 8, around 4:45 a.m., the police were called to a residence on Manning Avenue, between Richard Street and Morrison Street, after receiving multiple reports.

A visual containment was established around the area as the RCMP chatted with people in the residence.

No one was injured in this incident.

The police note there is no danger to the public at this time as they believe the shooting wasn’t a random act.

They are asking anyone who has dash cam or surveillance footage between 3:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. to contact them at 780-788-4040.
