Five New COVID-19 Cases in Fort McMurray, Four Additional Recoveries

Five new cases of COVID-19 are being discovered in Fort McMurray.

The province announced on Friday 277 new cases across Alberta.

The new provincial cases raise the total to 19,995 with 2,225 currently active, over half of which are in Edmonton.

Locally, Fort McMurray also had four additional recoveries which puts the active at 29.

The rural areas didn’t see any new changes over the past 24-hours, keeping the total of active cases at three.

In total, 328 individuals across the RMWB – 264 in Fort McMurray and 64 in the rural areas – have recovered.

They are among the 17,488 across the province. This represents over 87 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, the total of COVID-19 deaths in Alberta has gone down by one over the past day – putting it at 282.

One of the deaths throughout the pandemic was in Fort McMurray.
