An investigation is underway after a man was killed in Fort Chipewyan by a hit-and-run.

RCMP in the hamlet received reports of a collision around on September 19 around 3:50 a.m. along Airport Road.

A man was found with serious life-threatening injuries.

He was transported to the health centre in Fort Chipewyan, however, he later died from his injuries.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is now investigating the incident.

They’re looking to speak to anyone who may have seen the collision.
