Nine New COVID-19 Cases in Fort McMurray, Seven Additional Recoveries

Fort McMurray is seeing nine new cases of COVID-19.

The province announced on Wednesday 143 new cases across Alberta. This raises the provincial total to 17,032 with 1,520 currently active.

The community also saw seven more recoveries which puts the active total at 45.

The rural areas didn’t see any new changes, keeping the total of active cases at four.

In total, 249 individuals across the RMWB – 188 in Fort McMurray and 61 in the rural areas – have recovered.

They are among the 15,252 across the province. This represents over 89 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, there were two new deaths from COVID-19 in Alberta over the past 24 hours – raising the total to 260.

One of the deaths has been in Fort McMurray.
