Fort McMurray is seeing a slight drop in the number of active COVID-19 cases.
The province announced on Wednesday 171 new cases across Alberta, one of which was in the community.
This raises the provincial total to 16,128 with 1,495 currently active.
Fort McMurray now has 46 active cases as five more individuals have recovered.
There were no changes in the rural areas, keeping the total of active cases at four.
In total, 215 individuals across the RMWB – 156 in Fort McMurray and 59 in the rural areas – have recovered.
They are among the 14,379 across the province. This represents over 89 per cent of reported cases.
Meanwhile, there were no new deaths from COVID-19 in Alberta over the past 24 hours – keeping the total at 254.
One of the deaths has been in Fort McMurray.
