Two New COVID-19 Cases in Fort McMurray, 9 Recoveries

Two new cases of COVID-19 are being discovered in Fort McMurray over the past 24 hours.

The province announced on Thursday 113 new cases across the province. This raises the provincial total to 15,304 with 1,494 currently active.

Fort McMurray now has 55 active cases after discovering two new cases and seeing nine additional recoveries.

The rural areas saw no changes keeping the active total at four.

Across the RMWB, 176 individuals – 118 in Fort McMurray and 58 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 13,557 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 88 per cent of reported cases.

There were five new deaths from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours – raising the the death toll to 253.
