A case of COVID-19 has been identified at MacDonald Island Park through contact tracing.

As a result, the Suncor Community Leisure Centre will be closed for thorough cleaning and sanitizing.

The Leisure Centre includes the pool area, the gym, field houses, ice rinks, climbing wall, running track, racquetball courts, art gallery, dance academy and kids clubhouse.

Shell place and the golf course will remain open.

While the Wood Buffalo Regional Library was slowly reopening and allowed computer bookings and on-hold pick ups – they announced this morning they will also be closed until further notice.

MacDonald Island will update their website and social media when they are ready to re-open.
