The province is collecting applications for just two more days for those who suffered uninsurable damage from April’s flood.

They are providing $100 million for those who were impacted in downtown, Waterways, Draper, Ptarmigan Court, Longboat Landing, Taiga Nova Eco-Industrial Park.

The flood forced around 13,000 people to evacuate the Lower Townsite, Waterways, and Draper. Around 1,200 properties were damaged from the flood water which peaked around six metres in some areas.

As of the start of August, around 730 applications had been received. The province extended the program for an additional month after concerns of more people needing support.

Residents can apply through the GoA’s website.
