Five More COVID-19 Cases in Fort McMurray, Two Additional Recoveries

Five more cases of COVID-19 are being discovered in Fort McMurray.

The province announced 164 new cases across Alberta on Tuesday. This raises the provincial total to 14,066 with 1,398 currently active.

Fort McMurray now has 31 active cases after two more recoveries.

The rural areas continue to have no active cases.

Across the RMWB, 143 individuals – 83 in Fort McMurray and 60 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 12,427 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents just over 88 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, there were two deaths from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours – raising the death toll to 241.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
