Eleven New COVID 19 Cases in Fort McMurray Over Past 72 Hours

Eleven more cases of COVID-19 are popping up in Fort McMurray over the past 72 hours.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health announced Monday, 426 new cases across Alberta in last three days.

This raises the provincial total to 13,902 with 1,370 currently active.

Fort McMurray currently has 28 active cases after four more recoveries.

The rural areas continue to have no active cases.

Across the RMWB, 141 individuals – 81 in Fort McMurray and 60 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 12,293 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents just under 89 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, there were two deaths from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours – raising the death toll to 239.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
