No Active COVID-19 Cases in Rural Areas, One New Case in Fort McMurray

One new case of COVID-19 is popping up in Fort McMurray.

The province announced on Tuesday 77 new cases across Alberta. This raises the provincial total to 13,083 with 1,134 currently active.

Fort McMurray continues to have 12 active cases as another individual has also recovered.

The rural areas currently have no active cases as the two individuals who previously had the virus have also recovered.

Across the RMWB, 135 individuals – 75 in Fort McMurray and 60 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 11,714 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 89 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, one more person has died from the virus in Alberta – putting the death toll at 235.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
