ConocoPhillips Donates $25K to Northern Lights Health Foundation

The Northern Lights Health Foundation is receiving $25,000 from ConocoPhillips.

The funds, being donated through their Greatest Need Campaign, will be used for approved Alberta Health Services COVID-19 response programs in public and mental health.

It will also support emerging needs at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre.

“When we went into lockdown in March, many of us thought we’d be back to normal operations by summer,” said Cindy Amerongen, NLHF Executive Director.

“Now we see that normal is a long way off, and many opportunities are arising to support our front-line teams with the health programs, equipment and services best suited to the changing conditions.”

ConocoPhillips has donated to the hospital in the past.

Previously, they supported HeartMath for Healthy Schools, Empathy for the Aging, the Continuing Care Adopt-A-Grandparent program, and equipment drives such as the MRI campaign.

“The Northern Lights Health Foundation and its COVID-19 Greatest Need Campaign have been instrumental in helping the community, where many of our staff live and work, and we’re proud to support this important initiative,” added Kirk Johnson, ConocoPhillips Canada President.
