No New COVID-19 Cases in Wood Buffalo, One More Recovery in Fort McMurray

Wood Buffalo is seeing now new cases of COVID-19 for a second straight day.

The province announced on Wednesday 82 new cases across Alberta.

This raises the provincial total to 12,501 with 1,107 currently active.

Fort McMurray currently has four active cases after one more individual recovered from the virus.

There were no changes in the rural areas as two individuals continue to have COVID-19.

Across the RMWB, 130 individuals – 72 in Fort McMurray and 58 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 11,167 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 89 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, two more people have died from the virus in Alberta – putting the death toll at 227.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
