No New COVID-19 Cases in RMWB, One Additional Recovery in Fort McMurray

No new cases of COVID-19 are being discovered in Wood Buffalo over the past 24 hours.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced on Tuesday 89 new cases across the province.

This raises the provincial total to 12,419 with 1,169 currently active.

Fort McMurray currently has five active cases after one more individual recovered from the virus.

There were no changes in the rural areas as two individuals continue to have COVID-19.

Across the RMWB, 129 individuals – 71 in Fort McMurray and 58 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the over 11,000 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 88 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, one more person has died from the virus in Alberta – putting the death toll at 225.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
