One New COVID-19 Case in Fort McMurray, Five Additional Recoveries in Rural Areas

One new case of COVID-19 is being discovered in Fort McMurray over the past three days.

The province announced on Monday 359 new cases across Alberta over the weekend.

This raises the provincial total to 12,412 with 1,132 currently active.

The new case in Fort McMurray raises the active total to six.

The rural areas didn’t see any new cases, while five individuals have also recovered which lowered the total of active cases to two.

Across the RMWB, 128 individuals – 70 in Fort McMurray and 58 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 11,056 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 89 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, three more people have died from the virus in Alberta – putting the death toll at 224.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
