Two COVID-19 Recoveries in Fort McMurray, No New Cases in Wood Buffalo

No new cases of COVID-19 are popping up in Wood Buffalo.

The province announced on Friday 84 new cases across Alberta.

This raises the provincial total to 12,053 with 1,036 currently active.

Fort McMurray saw two additional recoveries which lowered the active total in the community to five.

There continues to be no changes in the rural areas as seven individuals still have the virus.

Across the RMWB, 123 individuals – 70 in Fort McMurray and 53 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 10,796 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 89 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, one more person has died from the virus in Alberta – putting the death toll at 221.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
