Six COVID-19 Recoveries in Fort McMurray, No New Cases in Wood Buffalo

No new cases of COVID-19 are being discovered in Wood Buffalo over the past 24 hours.

The province announced on Thursday 76 new cases across Alberta.

This raises the provincial total to 11,969 with 1,036 currently active.

Fort McMurray saw six recoveries which lowered the active total in the community to seven.

There continues to be no changes in the rural areas as seven individuals still have the virus.

Across the RMWB, 121 individuals – 68 in Fort McMurray and 53 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 10,713 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 89 per cent of reported cases.

Meanwhile, three more people have died from the virus in Alberta – putting the death toll at 220.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
