Canada Post Asking Dog Owners To Keep Pets Away From Employees

You’re being asked to keep your dogs away from Canada Post Employees.

The delivery company says they’re worried about workers potentially being bitten or owners having to ignore physical distancing requirements to retrieve their pets.

Dogs have also been known to contract the virus and can potentially carry it on their fur which can be passed along if they come in contact with somebody.

“As much as we love our canine pets, they are protective of their home and their family, and it’s impossible for delivery agents to know how any dog will react when they approach your home to deliver the mail.”

Canada Post says they are in no way against dogs, but just want to make sure their employees are as safe as possible when delivering the mail.
